Junior Account Manager

OncoRadiomics is a fast-growing, ambitious company, with headquarters based in Liège, Belgium. Expansion to the US and China are in our plans for the near future. OncoRadiomics has a CE marked/ FDA pending clinical decision support system (RadiomiX Clinical) as well as a unique research software (The Discovery Toolbox). OncoRadiomics also offers solutions for optimized clinical drug development trajectories to major pharmaceutical companies thanks to its proprietary software and in-house expertise.

We are currently looking to enlarge our team with 1 junior account manager.

Role Summary

The junior account manager will be responsible for driving business development and sales activities within named pharma accounts in a specific territory. He/she will represent OncoRadiomics within these accounts, build & maintain customer relationships, insert new projects in new accounts and expand business with existing customers. The role is a mix of hunting/signing new projects (80%) and farming/expanding existing accounts (20%).

The junior account manager is ready to travel extensively and, as the company grows, is eager to grow and embrace senior responsibilities. Relocation to the US or China/Asia within a few years should be considered as a great opportunity for the successful candidate.

Your main responsibilities are:


  • Maintain the existing customer portfolio & identified business to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales. Prospect for new customers & opportunities.

  • Connect with key decision makers (drug lead, clinical lead) in pharma organizations, clinics, and private practices.

  • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating capabilities on assigned products and services in assigned territory.

  • Coordinating and participating in pre-sales activities with the Operations and R&D teams.

  • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the products and services, but also possibly department heads, pharmacists, medical directors or C-suite personnel.

  • Expected to drive margin though selling value and holding price.

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product/service knowledge of Oncoradiomics and competitive products/services.

  • Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of multiple order and revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage.Jun

  • Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.

  • Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements.

  • Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive sales.

Your educational background and competences:

  • BSc/MSc in life sciences with an additional degree in business (or equivalent knowledge or maximum 3-5 years experience)

  • New graduate with demonstrable skills in selling and negotiation in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision-makers/influencers.

  • Demonstrable skill in customer facing roles working in a complex technical environment.

  • Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business needs as well as to sales meetings and tradeshows. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English. 

  • Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Your desired characteristics:

  • Strong interest and some knowledge of drug development, digital healthcare, information systems, networking and IT. 

  • Ambitious, fast learner, passionate, curious and creative.

  • Willing to have a strong impact on cancer treatment by helping pharma companies embrace new biomarkers in their drug development process.

  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization. 

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions.

  • Demonstrable strategic selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, product demonstration, negotiation, closing and growing a sales territory. 

  • Demonstrable customer acumen and relationship building skills in a pharma/healthcare environment.

  • Demonstrable skill interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages. 

  • Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Knowledge of pharma/healthcare industry and marketplace trends for specific clinical applications and/or product knowledge within assigned area. 

  • Be pro-active and take initiatives. 

  • Customer and results oriented.
