Software Engineer

OncoRadiomics has a CE marked/ FDA pending clinical decision support system (RadiomiX Clinical) as well as a unique research software (The Discovery Toolbox). OncoRadiomics also offers solutions for optimized clinical drug development trajectories to major pharmaceutical companies thanks to its proprietary software and in-house expertise.

We are currently looking to enlarge our team with an additional Software Engineer.

Role Summary:

As Software Engineer you will contribute to the development and integration of image processing/analysis and machine learning (AI) applications. Being part of a multi-disciplinary team, you are a key contributor to software development projects and are instrumental in creating and improving Oncoradiomics Technologies’ software solutions. Your will be responsible for
specifications, conception, documentation, coding and testing of applications. You are agile by nature and expected to participate in multiple projects.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, engineers, and executives

  • Software development ‘from A – Z’, including specifications, conception, documentation, coding and testing

  • Development of scalable, automated and customer-oriented solutions

  • Port existing software to other environments, e.g. Python or C++

  • Optimize performance of existing software

  • Ensure good coding practice, quality and proper documentation

  • Set-up and manage software (unit/system) testing

  • Contribute to and guide the team – best practices, tips and tricks, give/receive feedback

  • Stay up to date with new developments in software engineering.

Your educational background and competences:

  • BSc in computer science or equivalent

  • Demonstrable experience and skill in different aspects of software development – medical software is a plus

  • Experienced in Matlab, Python, Java and knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. #C++, .NET)

  • Experienced in version control (Git)

  • Experienced in (medical) image analysis/processing and in-depth understanding of medical image standards (e.g. DICOM) is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays depending on geography and business needs.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.

  • Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team.
